REQUIRED ARTWORK
This step needs meticulous attention. Proper artwork is essential to duplicate your design accurately on your custom flag or banner. The better your artwork, the better results on your custom flag or custom banner.
Adobe Illustrator is preferred in a Vector file (.ai, .eps). Vector artwork consists of lines and curves. When vector artwork is enlarged, it will maintain clean, crisp lines. The electronic design ideally would be a true composite of the desired design, including all specified color information, font data, and linked supported files. All lettering within the files must be converted to outlines in order to maintain the correct font. Otherwise, font substitution may be necessary.
Most other files are pixilated (.jpeg, .pdf, .tif) and when they are enlarged, the image becomes blurry and distorted. That means that the image on your custom flag or custom banner will be blurry and distorted. If the file is pixilated, it must be of suitable resolution to withstand any necessary enlargement (300 DPI at full size).
To determine whether or not your artwork is in a vector format, zoom in and enlarge it on your screen. If it becomes distorted, blurry and/or squares of color appear along the edges, it is not a vector file. If we used that artwork, that is how your custom flag or custom banner will look.
If you do not have vectored artwork, send us what you do have and we can do the conversion for an additional charge. If you would like us to evaluate whether your artwork is suitable, please forward it to Kimberly@FlagsUSA.com. We will respond promptly.
FOR ART CREATION
A clear image with colors marked accordingly is required. Art charges will be billed at $40.00 per hour. In this case a Color Redition Proof is generated and will need to be approved before we can start production. We will email you a copy of the vector artwork for your files. We also keep a copy on file so the art will not to be fixed again unless changes need to be made in the future.
COLORS
For specific colors, you must provide PMS (Pantone) colors. If you do not have PMS colors you may purchase a Solar Max Color Swatch chart from us at $10.00 and pick colors from the chart. If PMS colors are not provided and you do not want the color chart we will try and match the colors as close as possible to what we see on the original art you sent us but we cannot be held responsible for color matches once the item is manufactured. Raster images will be printed from file, we cannot change colors in raster images.
NOTE: Colors vary from computer screen to computer screen and look different when printed on paper so the colors will vary slightly to what is printed on material.

RE-ORDERS
We keep the art and previous orders on file for at least 7 years, so re-orders are quick and simple! Just let us know the quantity and we can duplicate the order.
CUSTOM RETURNS
Changes to the order or artwork must be made before you sign off on the proof. We do not accept returns on custom products.
